The Story Behind Adina Andrus

Adina Andrus (born in Bucharest, Romania) makes work centered around rituals and visual culture across time and space. Andrus is a recipient of the Queens Council for the Arts New Work Grant and the NY State Arts Alive Artist Grant and has exhibited work in the United States and Romania, including at the Ely Center for Contemporary Art, CollarWorks, LABSpace Gallery, and Make a Point Gallery. She studied art at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and the Art Students’ League. Andrus lives and works in the New York area.
