BIOGRAPHY
Originally from Paris, France, I have also lived in Zurich, San Francisco, Amsterdam, and Manhattan, and I currently reside in Rye.
Being between two continents allows me to experience and compare diverse cultures, traditions, social norms, and inequalities. My artistic practice focuses on capturing the essence and strength of women through portraits painted over collage of carefully selected, discarded materials.
For the past two years, I have worked on "The Swimsuits Series: A Pictorial Reflection on Women’s Rights," featuring twelve paintings that address the inequalities women face, which will be displayed at the UN Headquarters in NYC in March 2025.
Recently, I started a new project, supported by the Rye Historical Society, where I research and paint the portraits of ten celebrated women from Westchester County, showcasing their achievements and challenges; this exhibition will open in March 2025 at the Square House Museum in Rye, NY, and has been funded by an Arts Alive Grant from Arts Westchester.
