Description

Blanket in hand-spun and hand-woven cashmere.

- 100% Mongolian cashmere
- Dyed by hand
- Finished with blanket stitch

The blanket is first hand-woven, revealing two large vertical colored stripes. It is then soaked in two different dye baths at each end.
The "H" detail is created by applying a wooden "H", carved by hand and affixed to the blanket before it is soaked in the dye baths to avoid infusing the vaporous cashmere.

Made in Nepal

Designed by Hermès Studio

The story behind

These brightly colored plaids and cushions, structured geometrically, are formed from woven vertical stripes and colors that are dyed after weaving on each edge of the plaid. This exposes the woven stripes to two other dyes, creating new color variations. The signature H design is obtained by attaching a wooden H to the plaid before submerging it in dye to prevent the color from penetrating the material.
